Jennifer Lopez Delighted To Land Lady Gaga Song For Album

Jenifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez jumped at the chance to record a song co-written by Lady Gaga for her new album, admitting she “kind of lucked out” landing the catchy tune.
The lovely Latina hit the studio with producer RedOne as she began work on Love? and she was excited to learn Gaga had been involved in penning Hynotico, one of the tracks she had picked to work on.
The singer/actress didn’t get the chance to meet with the Paparazzi hitmaker during the creative process, but will finally come face-to-face with Gaga next week (begs09May11) when she makes a guest appearance on reality show American Idol, on which Lopez is a judge.
And Gaga fan Lopez can’t wait.
She tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, “I didn’t (get to meet her) and I wish I could have.
“RedOne, who collaborates with her on a lot of her music, worked with me on this album. He played me different ideas and different things and one of the ones that I responded to, actually a couple of them, he was like, ‘Just so you know, I worked with Lady Gaga writing those.’ And I was like, ‘Really? Is it OK if I do them and make them my own?’ and he was like, ‘Absolutely’. So I kind of lucked out.”

Lady Gaga stirs controversy with Judas

Lady Gaga Judas new album

It’s not the first time Lady Gaga stirs controversy with her religious song and music video. The first was ‘Alejandro’ where the Judas star appears in dubious nun outfit for which religious groups took offense. Now with ‘Judas’ out the religious groups are even more upset but singer herself didn’t intend to teach any biblical lessons in her video or song:
I don’t view the video as a religious statement,’ she told E! ‘I view it as social statement. I view it as a cultural statement. It’s a metaphor. It’s not meant to be a biblical lesson,

Lady Gaga Judas

Lady Gaga told E!. Besides Gaga has stated being a very devoted Catholic.
Big celebrities often go into religious themes to make a statement or draw attention think John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ or Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’ music video.
Many of the rock and metal musicians have rebelled against religion and church. Marilyn Manson has managed to go mainstream shocking the public not only with his outrageous outfits and makeup but also with his album Antichrist Superstar which sold 7 million copies. I’d say Lady Gaga is actually a softer female version of Marilyn Manson…no?
But seriously it really is just a stunt and a metaphor for being drawn to bad boys (betrayers) if I got that right from the fan comments of the vid. Not the most politically correct metaphor there is but, on the other hand, you know you can always stir some controversy with it and get more attention.
What do you think about the video and the song? Does the metaphor count or is it still a blasphemy?
